We also want to share with you the sorrows of your losses. The tributes of this district were brave and noble warriors, who brought honor to their families and pride to their people. We are all of us, united, both victors and vanquished, in serving a common purpose. The power, and glory of the Capitol. Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever.
The little boy in white steps forward, holding out the box as he opens the lid. We can see the tidy, upright rows of yellowed envelopes. Whoever devised the Quarter Quell system had prepared for centuries of Hunger Games. The president removes an envelope clearly marked with a 75. He runs his fingers under the flap and pulls out a small square of paper. Without hesitation, he reads, “On the seventy-fifth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that even the strongest among them cannot overcome the power of the Capitol, the male and female tributes will be reaped fro their existing pool of victors.”
Yes, it is!! Thank you so much, mah love. <33 I love you too!!!
she’s so faithful and such a family person. no one can come in the way of her family, and that’s why she comes across as being so tough at the beginning with clary and simon. and she’s actually very, very generous with the people she loves and I grew really attached to her, and I think she’s a character that people can relate to. and she’s really funny as well, because she’s so tough and spontaneous and sometimes she just kind of says things without really thinking them through, and that gives her a really human side. -jemima west on isabelle lightwood
